New Emblematic Stamps for Curacao

Last week the management of Cpost International and Substation Curaçao, together with representatives of the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History presented a series of ten new postage stamps depicting ten new species of fish discovered in the deep reefs of Curaçao.

The official presentation was hosted by the Consul General of the United States on Curacao James R. Moore and took place in the presence of the Governor of Curacao, Mrs. Lucille George-Wout. Among the about 50 guests to the presentation were acting Prime minister Etienne van der Horst, member of the Board of Regents of the Smithsonian Institution Ambassador Barbara Barrett, Substation Director “Dutch” Schrier, General Managing Director of Cpost International Franklin Sluis and Dr. Carole Baldwin, Research Zoologist in the Division of Fishes of the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History.

It is with great pleasure that we hereby present you these new emblematic stamps.
